PROJECT BRIEF
It is one of the first retail projects designed by our team in 2018. Our client – WIIN SOLUTION – is a famous company specializing in operations and system consulting.
Our client presented us with a challenging brief. The design needed to match with other current branches in Australia with just a few interior photos and without surveying drawings. Despite the complicated brief, we had only two weeks to complete the projects before Christmas.
Accepting the challenge, team Bato Studio started to divide the work into manageable tasks. Firstly, we spent time researching through the DA portal from the local council to locate the existing floor plans. The building was constructed ten years ago. After thorough research, we were lucky to find the filed drawings. These floor plans played a vital role as our baseline for our inspections. Through the site inspections, we carefully measured the site to define the exact layout of electrical, mechanical, and other supporting services.
After finalizing the base model of the site, we continued to check the existing branches of WIIN in Germany to match our design with their current style. The main focus of this brand is health care services which are reflected by the selection of natural materials such as wood and concrete in interior design. Besides, blue and white emphasized the core concept of WIIN’s product. The color scheme is simple with blue, white, concrete, and natural wood.
The office is divided into two main parts – commercial and retail spaces. The retail area serves as the consulting area with the application of lightweight partial walls to form secluded and flexible consulting areas. The commercial part is divided into training and meeting spaces. The contrast between blue, white, and bare concrete created an interesting mix for the training rooms.
This project was completed in two weeks, which reflected an enormous effort from the whole team. We believed that our team could exceed the client’s expectations with the team’s thorough research even with minimal information from the client.
